HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Unsettled and breezy trade wind weather will continue through the early morning hours as a weak upper low drifts slowly westward across the state. More stable air will spread from east to west across the state, decreasing local shower activity lasting through Wednesday. By Wednesday afternoon deeper tropical moisture and instability, associated with the remnants of former Hurricane Kristy, will move into the windward slopes of the Big Island. This band of unstable moisture will then spread numerous showers westward across the smaller islands into Friday. Drier conditions return just in time for the upcoming weekend.
North shores are dropping, but a possible advisory level swell is due late Friday. East shores remain rough and choppy while south shores have small background swells.
